This is exactly what I would expect from this administration. So, should the Republicans that live in the District just shut up and not think about biting the hand that feeds them?
There are a few reactions that this new could elicit. Anger - Disgust - Joy - Entitlement - Repulsiveness - Haughtiness - Hopefulness - Despair. Whatever your reaction is to this news, one thing is clear: As stated in the article, there won't be too much evidence that the money is there.

Get up, stand up - "Code Red" rally Dec. 15, 1:00PM ET | Red Room
Code Red Rally Tuesday 1pm Dec 15th US Capitol
By Laura Ingraham - December 8, 2009, Posted 11:00PM ET
It's time we all stop pretending that what is happening with this Obamacare debate is about "helping the uninsured" or "fixing the healthcare system" or "giving the people what they want." It's about none of those things. Its about amassing as much power in a central government as humanly possible. Its about wealth redistribution. It's social engineering at its absolute worst....
Get up, stand up - "Code Red" rally Dec. 15, 1:00PM ET | Red RoomFOX News Radio - » Obama wanted “non-religious Christmas”?
Well, I suppose its about time that someone on Capitol Hill had the guts to propose taking the "Christ" out of Christmas...

There will be some that will just pass this off as if it doesn't mean much, but if some of these catch hold, there will be plenty of talk about them.

Obama's 'army' crashes colleges for health 'reform'
This reminds me of how they push the stupid fundraisers in grade school. Its like heroin for kiddies. They see a possibility that they could win an iPod or a game system just for bringing in a certain amount of orders. It didn't make sense to the kids, but they knew they could get one. Kids get all hyped up over this. They see a 'contest' and feel they have a chance, but the odds are so against the average kid that they can't even come close. (I wont even go in to the gambling aspects of this) Then the crash comes. I've seen the kids cry over this stuff. They don't understand odds at such young ages. And now BO is pushing it on colleges. I wonder if the kids who are knocking on doors are that same ones that pushed the fundraisers on the elementary schools.
So now we have political hacks swarming college dorms to, more or less, perform the same ritual. This is just wrong on so many levels.
I picture a rah-rah session right there at the students dorm room door. I would hope that our college kids have the cojones to stand up to this crap.

Senate health care bill to include public option - Yahoo! News
This whole thing is just stinking to high heaven... I believe that there will be NO benefit to the public with any of the current bills that have been floating around. Insurance companies are still going to keep prices high. The only concession they really gave was that they had to insure anyone that comes to them.

If Obama Wants To Be King, He is One Step Closer
Obama followers now have a flag to raise their hands to. Pledge their heart to. Bow before. Salute.
And spend money on.
Someone should take credit for this. (But why should they? There are always the minions who buy anything with BO's image on it.?)
The United States has Martha Washington, so Obama should have a name behind it. Every good country needs a story behind its flag. Wait. Are you telling me it all about marketing? NO! It CAN'T be! This is a special flag. Isn't it? ... Oh ..... it isn't?
Maybe BO needs to take a course in "Marketing America" so he can be the leader we need him to be. So our Nation can be proud of the flag we already have. There is only one flag I pledge allegiance to: The American Flag.

Insurers Fight Bid to Ease Penalties in Health Bill - WSJ.com
I don't get it. If I choose to NOT carry health insurance, should I have to pay a penalty? I get the concept, but the way it works now, would be the best way to keep it running. Unless the proposed plan covers EVERY aspect of the current situation, then it falls short. Period.

School kids taught to praise Obama?!?!?
I'm sure I would have something to say to this teacher if my child had been in this class. I am so much more interested in the aftermath of this. There have got to be some parents who are cringing right now, wondering if maybe their child's music class isn't going to be pulling the same stunt at their beloved 'Back to School Night.' This is turning our kids into political drones... performing their little tushies off just so some weak-minded teacher (loosely translated term) can live out her fantasy through a class of children who have no clue what they are actually doing. I just picture this teacher with some maniacal grin across her face as she gets excited while these kids dance to the melody like robots in a factory.
Is Obama a folk hero now? I don't think so.

"Obama's health care plan will be written by a committee whose head, John Conyers, says he doesn't understand it. It'll be passed by Congress that has not read it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a Treasury chief who didn't pay his taxes, overseen by a Surgeon General who is obese, and financed by a country that's nearly broke. What could possibly go wrong?" - Rush L.

BO: That Wasn't Me
If you can think in numbers that big then you are ahead of the game. Maybe that's the plan all along. Produce numbers that average Joe cant comprehend and deny they are yours.

This May Turn Some of the Heads Out There...
This BO Administration has really stuck its neck out... FOR FRIENDS! This sounds like they were 'bought off' and are installing all the names that the political hacks recommended. So, the question is - will the public look at this in the same light that BO does.

Obama Breaking Online Transparency Promise
Like this is going to be taken seriously by the media. If they had any clue, they would realize that this President is just like the rest. Its the same ol' dog and pony show. Nothing will have changed. He will break those promises. Just as the others have done.

BO: "I Screwed Up"... but please don't headline that quote
"Obama seeks to weather fallout of nomination woes" was the headline of the story from the AP. Reading further down the page was the quote "I screwed up." Which BO said "repeatedly" during an Oval Office interview. His top nominees withdrew from the positions that BO appointed them to, but under scrutiny, it was revealed that they were not exactly the upstanding, ethical bunch of people he thought they would be.
You do realize that the headline would have been "I Screwed Up" had this happened to Bush. How can you NOT print that quote as the headline? Spin, I tell ya, spin.

We Usually Go On a Date before We Kiss
Sometimes there are moments in a relationship that make you step back and reassess your situation at hand. Oh, but wait.... here we are with a new president who has been given the keys to the kingdom and we (oops) forgot to ask him how he would handle the pressing questions of the day. He hasn't had the chance to get the leather warm on the chair and we are already making it easy for him to 'rub us wrong', to make the decisions that we didn't want him to think about. The media is giving him 'permission' - if you will - to make decisions that would sound more appropriate coming from the previous Administration. WHAT THE HELL? Didn't we have an idea of how BO would run the Country BEFORE he took office. Are we now to give him a 'pass' after all the rhetoric' spewed on the campaign trail? Please. Finally... we now find out what we don't know about Obama.

Entertainers Are the Worst Offenders
An inaugural ball honoring wounded U.S. military veterans ended in a kerfluffle as several veterans walked out when a musical act's attempt at humor backfired.
Comparing Words with the Past
The NY Times has a layout that lets you scroll through time and speeches.
Inaugural Words: 1789 to the Present
One Day In and Optimism Soars.... But WAIT!
Amid all the hoopla, there is a reality concept that you MUST account for. He hasn't done anything yet, but people think things are going to get better. We have NO IDEA how his new crew will function as a machine, yet 60% of the country has a 'good feeling' about it. During the inauguration, he didn't mention the 'hope' that was a common theme throughout the campaign, but instead told the US that it needs to buck-up and start carrying the load. This is going to be a very interesting time for the US. If the Media outlets can get a grip on reality and fairly present the news then the public will get the information it needs. But I doubt it. There has been such a love affair going on with BO that everything reported on has a rose-colored view. Personally, I think it is unprofessional, unfair, and most of all dangerous to the vast majority of citizens who expect something a little more realistic from our media. So much has been reported with this tinted outlook that now they are 'reporting' we should be just a wee bit skeptical of everything that has been said leading up to this day. Read it here.
