Sometimes there are moments in a relationship that make you step back and reassess your situation at hand. Oh, but wait.... here we are with a new president who has been given the keys to the kingdom and we (oops) forgot to ask him how he would handle the pressing questions of the day. He hasn't had the chance to get the leather warm on the chair and we are already making it easy for him to 'rub us wrong', to make the decisions that we didn't want him to think about. The media is giving him 'permission' - if you will - to make decisions that would sound more appropriate coming from the previous Administration. WHAT THE HELL? Didn't we have an idea of how BO would run the Country BEFORE he took office. Are we now to give him a 'pass' after all the rhetoric' spewed on the campaign trail? Please. Finally... we now find out what we don't know about Obama.

Entertainers Are the Worst Offenders
An inaugural ball honoring wounded U.S. military veterans ended in a kerfluffle as several veterans walked out when a musical act's attempt at humor backfired.
Comparing Words with the Past
The NY Times has a layout that lets you scroll through time and speeches.
Inaugural Words: 1789 to the Present
One Day In and Optimism Soars.... But WAIT!
Amid all the hoopla, there is a reality concept that you MUST account for. He hasn't done anything yet, but people think things are going to get better. We have NO IDEA how his new crew will function as a machine, yet 60% of the country has a 'good feeling' about it. During the inauguration, he didn't mention the 'hope' that was a common theme throughout the campaign, but instead told the US that it needs to buck-up and start carrying the load. This is going to be a very interesting time for the US. If the Media outlets can get a grip on reality and fairly present the news then the public will get the information it needs. But I doubt it. There has been such a love affair going on with BO that everything reported on has a rose-colored view. Personally, I think it is unprofessional, unfair, and most of all dangerous to the vast majority of citizens who expect something a little more realistic from our media. So much has been reported with this tinted outlook that now they are 'reporting' we should be just a wee bit skeptical of everything that has been said leading up to this day. Read it here.
