Arizona Immigration Decision - Andy McCarthy - The Corner on National Review Online
Arizona Immigration Decision - Andy McCarthy - The Corner on National Review Online
On a quick read, the federal court's issuance of a temporary injunction against enforcement of the major provisions of the Arizona immigration law appears specious.
In essence, Judge Susan Bolton bought the Justice Department's preemption argument — i.e., the claim that the federal government has broad and exclusive authority to regulate immigration, and therefore that any state measure that is inconsistent with federal law is invalid.Tuesday, July 27, 2010

Swept off our feet - The Boston Globe
OK... This Brian McGrory person... whoever he is, needs to get a life. He has just accused the Massachusetts Electorate of date-rape (or at least that's what I get out of his article. What a buffoon. I don't think he realizes what just may have happened. His just needs to see the real picture. There was no drinking involved (unless you go back to Chappaquiddick.) The view from his perspective ought to be that he had a gold-digger in his pockets every time he turned his head, just because he turned his head. He ought to be looking at life with a bit more zeal. There are no more serious statements in this world than when a people of one country speak up and by nature of their actions, without use of weapons, tell the government that they are a force to be reckoned with.
